The purpose of the Alumni Association, as defined by the constitution, is to support the mission of Concordia College which is "to influence the affairs of the world by sending into society thoughtful and informed men and women dedicated to the Christian life" and to promote fellowship among Concordia alumni and rally their support. Alumni support can be defined by three major objectives:

- to support efforts to maintain strong student enrollment programs,
- to support efforts in soliciting alumni giving,
- to increase the general awareness and knowledge of Concordia among alumni and to recognize their outstanding contributions and services consistent with the mission of the college.

The office functions not only with the small team of staff, but with a great network of alumni and student volunteers.
